Eight-year NFL veteran Bradley Bozeman, who started 16 games last season, has announced his retirement.
Bozeman, 31, shared his decision on Instagram, stating he is "ready for my next chapter." The center expressed gratitude for the lessons, friendships, and memories gained during his career with the Los Angeles Chargers, Carolina Panthers, and Baltimore Ravens.
He thanked his teammates, coaches, and fans, acknowledging their impact on his journey. Bozeman also highlighted the unwavering support of his wife, Nikki, and his three children.
"Every career - no matter how decorated - ends in a trash bag," Bozeman quoted in his post, reflecting on the transient nature of professional sports. "The game moves on. Someone fills your spot. I’m just thankful God gave me the chance to take the ride."
His next chapter will involve "life at the farm" in his native Alabama. Bozeman was drafted by the Ravens in 2018, where he played for four seasons before joining the Panthers and then the Chargers.
His departure leaves a void on the Chargers' offensive line, which faced significant challenges due to injuries in the past season.
