Florida Gators center Olivier Rioux, the world’s tallest teenager at 7-foot-9, made a stunning entrance in the NCAA Tournament. He entered the game with two minutes left in a dominant 114-55 victory over No. 16 Prairie View A&M at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida.
Despite standing a full foot taller than Prairie View A&M forward Hassane Diallo, who is 6-foot-8, Rioux drew immediate attention. Fans chanted his name as he stepped onto the court, culminating in a thunderous put-back dunk - his first career NCAA tournament points.
The 59-point margin tied the second-largest in NCAA history. When asked how to slow down Florida, Prairie View A&M coach Byron Smith replied, "We need some help from the Lord." The Gators advanced to face No. 9 Iowa on Sunday.
