Holger Rune, a three-times Grand Slam quarter-finalist, is set to return to professional tennis at the Hamburg Open in May. The Danish player underwent Achilles surgery in October after suffering a season-ending rupture in the Stockholm Open semi-finals.
Despite the injury, Rune maintained a top 10 world ranking. The 22-year-old expressed his eagerness to compete again on clay at the Bitpanda Hamburg Open. The tournament, which begins May 16, will also feature Germany's Alexander Zverev.
