South American football's governing body, CONMEBOL, has officially declared its support for FIFA President Gianni Infantino should he seek a fourth term in office.

CONMEBOL's council issued a unanimous statement expressing confidence in Infantino's leadership for the 2027-2031 period. CONMEBOL President Alejandro Dominguez lauded Infantino for his dedication to advancing South American football and his global vision for the sport.

Infantino, who has led FIFA since 2016, has overseen the expansion of major tournaments, including the 48-team men's World Cup and the 32-team women's World Cup.
