Six people were stabbed and 24 arrested in London on Sunday during Arsenal's Premier League title parade, an event marking the club's first league championship in 22 years.

Metropolitan Police reported one victim, a man in his 20s, suffered life-threatening injuries but is now stable. Most other stabbing victims were not seriously hurt. Commander Stuart Bell praised the hundreds of thousands of peaceful fans but noted "pockets of anti-social behaviour" and "gang-related incidents."

Ten of those arrested are suspected of assaulting police-one officer suffered a slash wound to the hand, another was hit on the head by a thrown object. Three were arrested for sexual assault, and three on drug charges. Four police vans were also damaged.

The violence came just hours after nearly 800 people were detained and one killed in Paris following Paris Saint-Germain's UEFA Champions League victory over Arsenal.
