Victor Wembanyama was ejected from Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals for the first time in his professional career.

The San Antonio Spurs star caught Minnesota's Naz Reid with a high right elbow to the chin during a rebounding sequence with 8:39 left in the first half at the Target Center.

Officials initially called a common foul, but after a video review upgraded it to a Flagrant 2, ejecting Wembanyama. He finished with just four points and four rebounds in 12 minutes, leaving the Spurs without their defensive anchor.

Reid hit both resulting free throws. The NBA will likely review the incident for potential further discipline.
