At -63kg, Japan’s Haruka KAJU defended her status as world champion, defeating Netherlands' Joanne VAN LIESHOUT in a tightly contested final. KAJU controlled the pace throughout, earning gold under the watchful eye of IJF Referee Director Tina TRSTENJAK.

Italy’s Leonardo VALERIANI claimed his first Grand Slam title at -73kg with a commanding run. In the final, he forced Finland’s Valtteri OLIN to submit on the ground, capping a flawless day of ippon displays. The medal was presented by IJF Head Sport Director Vladimir BARTA.

Russia’s Madina TAIMAZOVA added another milestone, securing her fourth Grand Slam gold at -70kg with a precise, timely attack. Once again, she proved why she remains a podium fixture, collecting her medal from three-time world champion Yuri ALVEAR.

Turkey’s Vedat ALBAYRAK repeated last year’s success, capturing gold at -81kg with a heart-stopping win in the final seconds. The crowd erupted as he defended his title amid thunderous support. Raul CAMACHO PEREZ awarded the medal.

Home favorite Giorgi LOLADZE thrilled Georgian fans with a bronze medal performance in the -73kg division, delivering one of the event’s most spectacular throws.
