President Donald Trump extended an invitation to the U.S. men’s Olympic hockey team to attend his upcoming State of the Union address. The team secured the gold medal at the Milan Cortina Olympics on Sunday. FBI Director Kash Patel was present with the team, facilitating a call from President Trump via speakerphone.

"I can send a military plane or something, but if you would like to, it’s the coolest night, it’s the biggest speech…" Trump told the team. Upon receiving an affirmative response from a player, Trump assured them, "We’ll get Kash and we’ll get the military to get you guys over. You won’t have to worry about the weather or landing."

Trump also praised goaltender Connor Hellebuyck for his performance, stating, "Your goalie played not bad. Unbelievable and you were all unbelievable."

The team expressed enthusiasm for the president's invitation and the prospect of attending the State of the Union in Washington D.C.
