President Donald Trump has added his voice to the outpouring of tributes following the sudden death of two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch. The 41-year-old driver passed away Thursday, a day after reportedly collapsing while testing in a racing simulator.
On Friday, Trump posted on Truth Social, calling Busch a 'LEGENDARY NASCAR Driver' and a 'true talent who loved NASCAR and its fans.' The president noted Busch's record for all-time wins in NASCAR’s top three series, including a victory just last weekend.
Trump also extended prayers to Busch’s wife, Samantha, and their two children, recalling Samantha's visit to the White House in October for IVF advocacy. The couple founded the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund in 2015, distributing over 150 awards totaling more than $2 million.
Busch visited the White House in 2016 to meet then-President Barack Obama after winning the 2015 Cup Series championship. He won his final race-number 234 in NASCAR's top three series-less than a week ago at Dover International Speedway.

Following his collapse, Busch was hospitalized and initially ruled out of the Coca-Cola 600 due to a 'severe illness.' Hours later, his death was announced.
