PARIS, March 14 - Thomas Ramos kicked a last-gasp penalty to secure France’s third Six Nations title in five years with a nerve-shredding 48-46 victory over England at the Stade de France.
Louis Bielle-Biarrey delivered a four-try performance, scoring his 10th consecutive Six Nations try, as Les Bleus finished on 21 points. England, despite seven tries and over 40 points on French soil for the first time, fell short.
England responded with tries from Tom Roebuck, Cadan Murley, Ollie Chessum (2), Alex Coles, Tommy Freeman, and Marcus Smith, who also converted two scores.
France took the lead after halftime with a penalty try following Ellis Genge’s collapse in a maul, earning a yellow card. Antoine Dupont orchestrated the comeback, setting up Bielle-Biarrey for his hat-trick.
With the clock in the red, Ramos calmly slotted a 43-metre penalty in the 83rd minute-capping a thriller that marked the 120th anniversary of 'Le Crunch'.
France now holds eight Six Nations titles, one more than England and two ahead of Ireland and Wales.
