Tottenham Hotspur has officially confirmed the signing of Argentine international Marcos Senesi. The 29-year-old defender will join the North London club on July 1 following the expiration of his contract with Bournemouth.

Senesi arrives as the second acquisition under manager Roberto de Zerbi, joining Andy Robertson in a strategic push to stabilize a backline that struggled significantly last season. Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League, escaping relegation by a mere two points.

During his four-season tenure at Bournemouth, Senesi made 128 appearances. He was instrumental in the team’s defensive resilience, contributing to a 16-match unbeaten run and recording 11 clean sheets in the previous campaign.

De Zerbi highlighted Senesi’s technical proficiency and tactical intelligence as key assets. "His experience, quality on the ball, and competitive edge will strengthen us defensively," De Zerbi stated. "He reads the game very well and has the personality to thrive in a demanding environment."

Senesi expressed immediate commitment to restoring the club's stature. "I want to win things with Tottenham and will do everything I can to make that happen," he said.
