President Donald Trump is expected to attend Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Monday in New York City, marking the first time a sitting president has attended an NBA Finals game.

The New York Knicks face the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden holding a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. The Knicks are chasing their first championship since 1973.
Trump accepted an invitation from Knicks owner James Dolan. He could also attend Wednesday’s Game 4. Mayor Zohran Mamdani will also be at the game but in a different section.

Security will be tight. A strict no-bag policy is in effect at MSG, and an outdoor watch party near the arena has been canceled in coordination with the Secret Service. Fans are advised to arrive at least two hours early.
The cheapest resale tickets are over $10,000. Trump remarked, “It’s sort of semi-free to watch it on television.” New York City is buzzing with Knicks fever as skyscrapers light up orange and blue.
