The U.S. men's Olympic hockey team has advanced to the semifinals after a tense 2-1 overtime victory against Sweden.

Quinn Hughes scored the game-winner for the Americans, following Dylan Larkin's regulation goal. The win sets up a semifinal clash with Slovakia.

Canada also secured a semifinal berth, narrowly defeating Czechia 4-3 in overtime, with Mitch Marner scoring the decisive goal. Finland completed the semifinal lineup by overcoming Switzerland 3-2 in overtime.

Slovakia continued its surprising run, dominating Germany 6-2 to reach the semifinals and guarantee a medal.
