American speedskater Jordan Stolz earned a silver medal in the men's 1,500-meter race at the Winter Olympics, narrowly missing his third gold. He finished second to China's Ning Zhongyan, who set an Olympic record.

Jordan Stolz of Team USA competes in the men's 1,500-meter finals at the Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, Feb. 19, 2026.

Stolz had previously secured gold medals in the 1,000-meter and 500-meter events, setting Olympic records in both. This performance makes him the first American to win multiple speedskating medals in a single Winter Games since Eric Heiden in 1980.

Stolz, who is also the world record holder in the 1,000-meter, is scheduled to compete in his final event, the mass start, later this week.
