U.S. Olympic gold medalist Taylor Heise is confident the men's hockey team can defeat Canada for the Olympic gold medal. Heise, who was instrumental in the women's victory over Canada, stated the men's team is "electric" and possesses the skilled players needed to win.
"They have it," Heise told Fox News Digital. "I think they have such skilled players on their team and they have the right team to do it."
She emphasized the importance of performance on the day of the game, noting, "it’s not the best of seven, it’s the best of one. So, it’s whoever shows up better on that day."
The U.S. men's team advanced to the gold medal game after defeating Slovakia. The final is set for 8:10 a.m. ET. The U.S. men have not won Olympic hockey gold since the 1980 "Miracle on Ice."
The Americans previously secured silver medals in 2010 and 2002, often losing to Canada in those contests.
