Seattle is embracing its maritime identity for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a floating fan zone and football pitch along its waterfront.
The Seattle Soccer Celebration, announced by the city's MLS and NWSL teams, will run from 11 June to 6 July. The barge-based venue at Waterfront Park will host youth football events, watch parties on a giant screen, cultural events, and private parties.
The floating pitch serves as the symbolic 52nd mini-pitch built by the Rave Foundation to expand grassroots football access across Washington state.
Waterfront Park is also designated as one of Seattle's official free FIFA fan zones during the tournament. The city, one of 16 host venues, will stage six matches at Lumen Field, including group-stage, Round of 32, and Round of 16 games.
