Andrew Robinson recorded his first Ontario Hockey League hat trick as the Windsor Spitfires downed the London Knights 8-2 at the WFCU Centre on March 15.
Caden Harvey added four assists. Philadelphia Flyers prospect Jack Nesbitt scored once and dished two helpers. Windsor outshot London 36-18 and went 2-for-4 on the power play.
London’s Braiden Clark opened scoring with his 22nd goal of the season. But Windsor answered quickly and led 3-1 after the first period. Robinson’s third goal came with 42 seconds left in the second, capping a 7-1 lead. Max Sokolovskii scored his first OHL goal to close the 8-2 final.
Despite the loss, London remains one point behind the Soo Greyhounds for fourth place in the Western Conference. Both teams have three games remaining.
Max Domi played his 800th NHL game on Saturday - scoring in Buffalo. He won back-to-back OHL titles with London in 2012 and 2013.
