A former Yale women's track and field athlete has come forward to accuse the university's athletic department of a "toxic culture" and "incompetent coaching" under Athletic Director Victoria Chun.
The athlete, who requested anonymity, stated she quit the team due to leadership changes and poor management during Chun's tenure, which began in 2018.
This follows allegations from former Yale hockey coach Keith Allain, who claimed Chun fostered a "toxic environment" and silenced dissent. Allain sent a letter to Yale President Maurine McInnis in October detailing concerns about Chun’s leadership.
Also, a former Yale strength and conditioning coach, Thomas Newman, was reportedly recorded during a meeting, sparking legal tensions. Newman’s lawyers claim the university failed to protect him.
Kim Jones, mother of three former Yale swimmers and founder of the Independent Council on Women's Sports (ICONS), accused the department of "terrorizing" women and "emasculating" men by forcing competition against transgender athletes under Chun.
In a March interview, Chun admitted to making a costly mistake early in her tenure-ordering expensive custom helmets-calling it her worst decision.
Yale has yet to respond to Fox News Digital’s requests for comment.
