NASA's Artemis II mission marks the first crewed lunar flight in more than five decades. Scheduled for launch no earlier than 6:24 p.m. EDT on April 1, the mission will send four astronauts aboard the Orion capsule atop a Space Launch System (SLS) rocket.
The crew includes NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen. If successful, the 10-day journey will take the crew farther into space than ever before.
NASA will stream the launch live from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, with coverage on its official YouTube, X, Facebook, and Twitch channels. The live feed begins at 12:50 p.m. EDT.
The launch window opens Wednesday at 6:24 p.m. EDT, with additional opportunities through April 6 and again on April 30. Weather conditions currently favor a launch on Wednesday, with an 80% probability.
Following the mission, NASA plans ongoing live coverage and a postlaunch news conference.
