Flux, a startup simplifying printed circuit board (PCB) development, has secured $37 million in funding. The company utilizes an AI platform allowing users to design PCBs through simple prompts.
The funding, comprising a Series B round led by 8VC and a seed round with Outsiders Fund and Bain Capital Ventures, will fuel enhancements to Flux's AI engineering and integrations with third-party tools.
PCBs are fundamental components in electronics, acting as substrates for components and enabling data exchange. Flux's AI addresses complexities such as interoperability, component availability, and cost reduction, significantly speeding up the design and firmware development process for hardware.
"By bringing the cost of design down to near-zero, we’re giving millions of non-experts the ability to build for niche audiences," stated Flux CEO Matthias Wagner.
