TikTok is expanding beyond short-form entertainment into the travel industry with the launch of "TikTok GO," a new in-app feature that enables users to book hotels, attractions, and tours directly within the platform.

The feature is integrated across TikTok's discovery tools, including video content, search results, and location pages. It is powered by partnerships with major travel platforms such as Booking.com, Expedia, Viator, GetYourGuide, Tiqets, and Trip.com.

Initially launching in the United States, where TikTok has 200 million users, the company requires users to be at least 18 years old to book a travel experience through TikTok GO.

"Every day on TikTok, millions of people discover where to eat, where to stay, and what to do next," said Adam Presser, CEO of TikTok USDS Joint Venture. "TikTok GO connects that moment of inspiration directly to the businesses behind it."

This move reflects a broader shift in booking behavior as platforms race to shorten the journey from discovery to purchase, especially among younger travelers who increasingly rely on social media for trip planning. For creators, TikTok GO turns travel storytelling into a revenue stream by linking content directly to bookable listings, unlocking commission-based earnings and paid campaign opportunities.
