Huawei expects revenue from its AI chips to surge at least 60% this year, according to a report from the Financial Times. Strong demand from Chinese companies for domestic chip offerings is fueling the jump.
The Chinese tech giant anticipates chip revenue reaching roughly $12 billion this year based on current orders, up from $7.5 billion in 2025.
Most orders are for the latest Ascend 950PR processor, which entered mass production in March. Huawei also plans to launch an upgraded version, the 950DT, later this year in the fourth quarter.
Reuters could not immediately verify the report.
