Jane Street, the secretive quantitative trading giant, has shared details of its AI infrastructure evolution, starting with six Dell servers and now operating a dedicated Texas data center housing 4,032 liquid-cooled GPUs.
The firm also introduced “hive bucks,” an internal virtual currency used in a live auction system where teams bid for GPU compute time, forcing strategic prioritization without top-down management.
