World Unveils MiniKit 2.0 to Streamline App Development

World has launched MiniKit 2.0 on World Chain, revolutionizing app development with faster transactions and streamlined deployment.

With Flashblocks, transaction confirmations now occur in around 200 milliseconds-cutting delays from up to two seconds. This speeds up real-time applications like gaming and trading.

MiniKit 2.0 aligns with Ethereum’s EIP-1193 standard, allowing developers to build once and deploy anywhere-web or World App-with minimal code changes.

Gas sponsorship via ZeroDev’s account abstraction technology removes friction for users, eliminating the need for wallet balances or manual fees.

The update supports local stablecoins like wARS, wCOP, wMXN, and EURC, enhancing cross-border payments within Mini Apps.

World Build 3, its developer program, is now accepting applications for a global cohort including a hackathon, virtual program, and Demo Day in San Francisco.

MiniKit 2.0 will be showcased at EthCC in Paris from March 30 to April 2.
