Artificial intelligence mobility startup NoTraffic U.S. Inc. has raised $90 million in Series C funding to scale its AI-powered traffic management system across American cities.
The platform replaces fixed-timing traffic lights with a real-time digital network using computer vision and radar to detect and classify vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians, buses, trucks, and emergency responders. It dynamically adjusts signal timing at intersections to reduce delays, improve flow, and enhance safety.
Co-founder and CEO Tal Kreisler explains the system predicts traffic conditions seconds ahead, evaluates thousands of scenarios, and coordinates signals across entire corridors. Unlike legacy systems, it tailors responses based on user type-a bus gets priority to stay on schedule, while pedestrians receive adequate crossing time.
Deployments in Houston, Phoenix, and Canadian cities show measurable results: shorter commutes, reduced pedestrian wait times, and up to 70% fewer red-light violations. Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego called the technology key to a “more sustainable future.”
The hardware retrofits onto existing traffic infrastructure in under two hours, enabling rapid deployment without costly rebuilds. The new capital-led by PSG Equity with M&G Investments, Grove Ventures, and others-will accelerate NoTraffic’s goal to reach 10% of U.S. traffic agencies by mid-year.
“Cities need software-driven systems that can adapt continuously, not once every few years,” said PSG Equity Managing Director Ronen Nir.
