SINGAPORE: A small number of Singtel customers are experiencing connectivity issues, the telecom giant confirmed on Tuesday, March 17. The outage is not linked to Monday’s eight-hour network disruption.
Downdetector recorded over 300 reports tied to Singtel by 11:46am. Users reported dropped calls, failed mobile data connections, and Wi-Fi problems. GOMO users-Singtel’s subsidiary-also shared similar issues on social media.
Singtel engineers are actively working to restore service. The company advised affected users to restart devices, toggle airplane mode, or reinsert SIM cards.
The incident follows last month’s cyberattack by UNC3886, which targeted all four major Singaporean telcos but did not result in customer data loss. The Infocomm Media Development Authority stated it will investigate the latest disruption.
