Medical device maker Stryker announced on Thursday that a cyberattack on its computer systems the previous day is causing significant disruptions. The attack is impacting the company's ability to process orders, manufacture products, and ship them to customers.
An Iranian-linked hacking group, Handala, claimed responsibility, stating the attack was retaliation for a strike on a girls' school in Minab, Iran.
Stryker first disclosed the global disruption to its Microsoft environment on March 11. The company stated the incident has not affected patient-related services or connected medical products, though the full scale and financial impact remain unknown. Stryker has 56,000 employees and operations in 61 countries, with an ongoing investigation.
