Tesla has implemented substantial price reductions for its Cybertruck, aiming to stimulate sales. The top-tier 'Cyberbeast' model is now $15,000 cheaper, retailing at $99,990, though it now excludes features like supercharging. A new entry-level dual-motor variant is introduced at $59,990, offering a 325-mile range and a 0-60 mph time of 4.1 seconds.
This new base model is priced significantly lower than the previously considered single-motor rear-wheel-drive variant. However, the reduced price comes with altered specifications. Towing capacity is down from 11,000 lbs to 7,000 lbs, and cargo capacity is reduced from 2,500 lbs to 2,006 lbs.
Further cost-saving measures include the replacement of air suspension with steel springs and adaptive dampers. Interior changes feature textile seats, a different console, and a reduction in amenities such as front seat ventilation, rear seat heating, cabin AC outlets, and active noise-cancellation.
