Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada is bringing humanoid robots onto its assembly line. The company has signed a commercial agreement with Agility Robotics to deploy its general-purpose robot, Digit, at its Woodstock, Ontario facility.
Initially, three Digit units will support manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics operations, with a total of seven robots allocated. This move aims to improve the team member experience and boost operational efficiency by automating repetitive and physically demanding tasks.

Toyota joins other major companies like Amazon, GXO, and Schaeffler in deploying Agility's robots. This partnership signifies a key step for humanoid robots in industrial settings, with both companies exploring further applications of robotics and artificial intelligence in automotive production.
