Visa has deployed a command-line interface tool enabling artificial intelligence agents to process card payments without human intervention. This marks the first public release from Visa Crypto Labs.

Cuy Sheffield, who leads Visa’s crypto division, announced the beta. The tool simplifies developer workflows by eliminating traditional API key management. Scripts can now initiate transactions directly from terminal environments.

Unlike competitors leveraging stablecoins, Visa integrates agentic commerce into its existing card network. The initiative supports broader Intelligent Commerce partnerships involving over 100 entities and recent pilots with European banks.
