Veeam Software Group today announced the launch of Agent Commander, a new offering aimed at helping organizations safely detect artificial intelligence risks, protect AI systems, and undo AI mistakes. The solution empowers businesses to address AI-driven risks and securely scale AI agents.

Powered by technology from Securiti Inc., a company Veeam acquired, Agent Commander integrates capabilities from both entities. It provides organizations with visibility, control, and protection over their entire data and AI infrastructure, enabling precise undoing of AI errors.

Veeam highlights that Agent Commander addresses the critical gap of trust in AI infrastructure. As AI agents scale, data and AI risks converge, making an agent's trustworthiness dependent on the data it accesses. Sensitive data is increasingly fed into models without proper oversight or tracking.

Traditional remediation processes can take hours to detect and days to fix, leaving significant exposure. Agent Commander offers a solution by allowing organizations to understand the data powering AI and to detect, protect, and reverse AI actions with speed and precision.

"It represents the future of what’s expected from data security and data resilience and it’s only possible with Veeam’s unified platform," stated Veeam Chief Executive Anand Eswaran.

The platform combines Veeam's data resilience with Securiti’s Data Command Center, offering total visibility into AI environments. It detects hidden risks, including shadow AI, and provides comprehensive controls for data protection within AI systems. Agent Commander allows for instant rollback of AI agent mistakes and faster threat detection and remediation, facilitating safe and rapid AI adoption.

Key features include AI risk detection with full context, identification of shadow AI and sensitive data exposure, and autonomous protection of AI pipelines. The solution can surgically reverse unwanted AI actions using context-aware recovery, restoring trusted data without reverting entire systems.

"Controlling AI risk is effectively impossible in siloed environments or without deep contextual intelligence across data, permissions and autonomous agents," said Rehan Jalil, president of products and technology at Veeam. "Agent Commander unifies control across production and backup to detect toxic combinations, enforce granular policy and precisely reverse AI-driven actions."
