VIAVI Solutions has launched a revolutionary validation tool for Ultra Ethernet Transport, addressing networking bottlenecks in AI data centers. Released on June 23, this solution integrates with the TestCenter platform, allowing companies to emulate realistic AI workload traffic without GPUs.
The Ultra Ethernet Consortium, founded in 2023 by tech giants like AMD and Microsoft, introduced the Ultra Ethernet protocol, enhancing congestion control and scalability in AI environments with its Specification 1.0 in June 2025.
This tool offers robust validation for key UET capabilities, including reliable delivery, congestion control, and dynamic multipathing. VIAVI's focus is on hyperscalers, cloud service providers, and networking equipment manufacturers needing UET support.
“AI clusters will scale to millions of endpoints,” noted Aniket Khosla, VP of Product Management at VIAVI, emphasizing the need for error-free networking in multi-terabit connections.
VIAVI’s established credibility in UET interoperability paved the way for this launch, which positions the company as the vital testing layer for the emerging standard in AI data centers. All relevant stakeholders will require validation from VIAVI, positioning the company as a necessary player in this sector.
