AI-native employee management startup Warp has raised $60 million in new funding to expand its platform, which automates payroll and other back-office work with minimal staff.

The New York-based company positions itself as an alternative to legacy human capital management software, arguing that enterprise-grade administrative capabilities can now be handled by AI. The system can onboard a new hire by automatically setting up tax accounts and apps, and manage payroll across all 50 states in seconds.

This funding round was led by Battery Ventures. Peak XV, Sound Ventures, Y Combinator, and HOF Capital also participated. Notable individual investors include Shopify CEO Tobias Lütke, former Stripe COO Claire Hughes Johnson, and Dropbox co-founders Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi.

The new capital brings Warp's total funding to $85 million. The company currently serves fast-growing AI firms and plans to expand its team from 50 to 200 employees within a year.
