A woman walking in Macau was briefly hospitalized after being startled by a humanoid robot behind her, police confirmed. She reported elevated heart rate but suffered no physical injury.

The robot, operated by Macanese educator Mak Kin Choi’s education center, was conducting promotional testing. Police reminded the operator to avoid alarming the public. The woman was discharged and declined to file charges.
