A new kind of airport lounge has landed at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). Portal Lounge, which opened May 28, is designed to transform dead time before a flight into an interactive experience.
Founded by Jordan and Emma Walbridge, the team behind the Gameway airport gaming concept, Portal Lounge blends gaming, dining, music, and robot-made cocktails in a 3,800-square-foot social space. It features 17 dedicated gaming stations with Nintendo Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, and custom PCs, plus nearly 30 titles. The robotic bartender, developed in Italy, works alongside a traditional bar to prepare cocktails and mocktails.
The lounge offers chef-driven small plates and regional drinks, including the 'Lag Free' cocktail inspired by Minnesota. It operates as an independent common-use lounge, accessible via Priority Pass and cards from Chase, American Express, and Capital One. Walk-in access is roughly $70.
MSP welcomed about 36 million passengers in 2025, making it an ideal testing ground. The lounge can hold about 114 people.
