ZeroEyes, a startup known for AI gun detection, is expanding its platform to become a comprehensive security intelligence system. The new capabilities include AI-based knife detection, a non-invasive system for tracking individuals of interest, and an analytics suite.
The company aims to address delayed response times by centralizing threat detection. Its platform can now identify knives with blades as small as six inches and track suspects across multiple camera feeds using clothing and movement characteristics, not facial recognition.
Founder and CEO Mike Lahiff, a former Navy SEAL, says ZeroEyes wants to be the single trusted platform for public spaces from schools to stadiums. The system provides actionable intelligence within three to five seconds of a threat appearing, alerting security teams instantly.
