The countdown begins for NASA's first crewed moon mission in over 50 years, Artemis II. Quarantined astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen of the Canadian Space Agency will embark on a 10-day lunar orbit journey scheduled for April 1st.

Wiseman described the quarantine quarters at Kennedy Space Center as 'special,' noting the hallways lined with patches from past missions and names in foreign languages. Glover, the first Black astronaut on a lunar mission, shared mixed emotions about his role, emphasizing both celebration and hope for a future where such milestones are commonplace.

Koch highlighted the significance beyond individual achievements, focusing on the collective effort that makes these milestones possible. NASA had initially targeted February 8th but postponed due to a liquid hydrogen leak. Current weather forecasts predict an 80% chance of successful launch on April 1st.
