A cargo ship issued a distress signal on Sunday after coming under attack in the Red Sea.
The UK Maritime Trade Operations centre (UKMTO) confirmed the vessel reported being targeted by "unknown armed assailants" off the coast of al-Hudaydah, a strategic port city in Yemen.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. UKMTO has instructed all vessels navigating the area to proceed with extreme caution.
