Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered Israel's military to "vigorously attack Hezbollah targets" in Lebanon. This directive follows the recent extension of a three-week ceasefire and comes after at least six people were killed in strikes on southern Lebanon.
Cross-border exchanges have strained the truce, which has seen reduced fire rather than a complete halt. On Saturday, Israeli strikes in the Nabatieh and Bint Jbeil districts killed four and two people respectively. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported eliminating three Hezbollah members driving a weapons-laden vehicle and another on a motorcycle, along with two more in the Litani area.

Hezbollah stated it retaliated by targeting an Israeli army vehicle. Following Netanyahu's order, Lebanon's National News Agency reported multiple strikes in various southern towns. The IDF confirmed striking Hezbollah infrastructure, vowing to "operate decisively against threats". Separately, an international press group condemned attacks on journalists in Lebanon, after a journalist was killed in an Israeli strike.
