An eighth-grade student in Kahramanmaras, Turkey, fatally shot four people and injured 20 others in a random attack at a school on Wednesday. Officials reported the attacker also died. Governor Mukerrem Unluer stated the student brought firearms believed to be his father's to school, entering two classrooms and firing indiscriminately.

Four of the wounded remain in serious condition. Unluer noted the attacker, believed to be around 13 years old, was carrying five guns and seven magazines, and it is unclear if his death was suicide or occurred during the incident. This shooting follows a separate attack on Tuesday in Siverek, where a shooter injured 16 before taking his own life. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan vowed accountability for any negligence related to the incidents.
