Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared Iran is being "decimated" and questioned who is in charge, following Israel's strike on Iran's South Pars gas field-the source of 70% of Iran's domestic natural gas.

Netanyahu stated Israel acted alone in the South Pars operation-contradicting earlier assumptions of joint US-Israel coordination. Trump confirmed he opposed targeting gas fields and was not informed in advance.

Iran retaliated with missile and drone strikes on Qatar’s Ras Laffan LNG complex, Saudi Arabia’s Yanbu refinery, and Kuwaiti refineries-causing extensive damage and risking $20 billion annually in lost Qatari LNG revenue.
