Iran's Health Ministry reported Thursday that U.S. airstrikes over the last two days killed at least 14 people and wounded 78. The strikes followed Iranian attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.

The body of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei arrived in the holy city of Mashhad for burial. Khamenei was killed by U.S. or Israeli strikes on February 28th, the first day of the war. Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps said U.S. strikes overnight hit two bridges on the route to the funeral city.

President Trump, returning from the NATO summit in Turkey, stated that Iran "wants to make a deal so badly." He warned that U.S. strikes would become "much worse" if Iran attacks more ships.

Vice President JD Vance reinforced the message, stating that if Iran attempts to close the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. military will respond. He characterized Iran's recent actions as "shooting at ships" after a period of relative calm.
