Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian stated on Saturday that his country will not surrender to Israel and the United States, as the Middle East conflict entered its second week. Pezeshkian declared, "Iran's enemies must take their wish for the unconditional surrender of the Iranian people to their graves."

Following strikes on February 28 that resulted in the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran has retaliated with missile and drone attacks on Israel and US interests across the region. Pezeshkian, part of Iran's interim leadership council, also issued an apology to neighboring countries for recent Iranian attacks.

He clarified that future missile launches will only occur if attacks on Iran originate from those neighboring nations. The interim leadership council has agreed to cease further attacks on neighboring countries under these conditions.
