Iranian officials stated that access to nuclear sites bombed in the war with Israel and the U.S. last year will not be granted to UN inspectors, emphasizing there have been no recent discussions with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

This declaration counters U.S. Vice President JD Vance's assertion that Iran had committed to allow UN inspections as a step towards denuclearization following recent negotiations mediated by Pakistan and Qatar.

The conflict, which entailed U.S. airstrikes on facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, has raised concerns regarding Iran's nuclear capabilities. Iran has thus far blocked access to these sites, citing security issues.

Iran’s foreign ministry reaffirmed its commitment to international agreements, while highlighting that no protocols exist for inspections of damaged facilities.
