Israeli air strikes killed at least 12 people, including 2 children, in seven separate attacks on cars in southern Lebanon, according to the country's health ministry.

Eight people died when drones targeted three vehicles on the coastal highway near Barja, Jiyeh, and Saadiyat, about 20 kilometers south of Beirut. Four others were killed in strikes on cars further south, in Sidon, Maaliyeh, Chaaitiyeh, and Naqoura.

The Israeli military has not commented on the strikes but said it hit Hezbollah infrastructure in several southern areas. Hezbollah fighters also launched drones near Israeli troops in southern Lebanon, without causing casualties.

Over 400 people have been killed in Lebanon since the ceasefire announced by President Donald Trump almost a month ago. The conflict began on March 2, after the US and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran.

More than 2,896 people have been killed in Lebanon since then, while Israeli authorities report 18 soldiers and 4 civilians killed.
