A 14-year-old boy allegedly killed nine people and wounded 13 more in a violent attack at a Turkish middle school on Wednesday. The student reportedly used firearms belonging to his father, a former police officer.

Eight of the victims were students, and one was a teacher. Officials have confirmed the incident was not a terror attack. The shooting occurred in the Kahramanmaras region, approximately 140 miles from a high school where a separate student shooting took place the day before.

This marks the second mass shooting in Turkey within two days. Authorities are urging citizens to avoid spreading misinformation and to protect societal peace, especially the psychological well-being of children. An investigation involving multiple inspectors is underway.
