Israeli authorities say a shooting attack has left one person dead and five others wounded. The incident unfolded when a man opened fire from a vehicle at several locations.
Magen David Adom, Israel's emergency service, said a 35-year-old man died of gunshot wounds. Two victims are in serious condition, three are in moderate condition with penetrating injuries.
The alleged attacker, identified as an Israeli Arab with a criminal record, was killed by security forces near the town of Kokhav Yair, close to the occupied West Bank. An alleged accomplice has been arrested.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called it a heinous terrorist attack. Police recovered the weapon and vehicle after a brief chase.
