A wave of shooting attacks in central Israel has left one man dead and five others wounded. The attacks occurred in the towns of Kokhav Yair, Tzur Natan, and Tzur Yitzhak, near the occupied West Bank.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency services reported that two of the injured are in serious condition, while three suffered moderate injuries.
Israeli police located a vehicle connected to the attacks near Kokhav Yair and killed one suspect. The military confirmed the death of one perpetrator and said a manhunt is underway for a second gunman.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conducted a situational assessment of the ongoing threat. Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir said on social media that if the second suspect is captured alive, he will be executed.
