Police have seized over $2.3 million worth of suspected fentanyl as part of an investigation into a major drug trafficking network operating between Ontario and Alberta. The investigation, dubbed Project OLLIE, began in May 2025 and targeted an alleged fentanyl trafficking route between the Greater Toronto Area and Calgary.
A search warrant executed on February 10th at a Brampton residence yielded 18 kilograms of suspected fentanyl, amounting to approximately 180,000 potentially lethal doses. Three individuals have been arrested and charged with conspiracy to traffic, trafficking, and possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl. Arrests were made in Brampton, Winnipeg, and Calgary. A fourth suspect remains wanted.
Authorities stated that the seizure significantly reduced a threat to public safety. Multiple law enforcement agencies across Canada collaborated in the investigation.
