Pope Leo has renewed his call for global peace and coexistence, speaking out after a second social media attack this week from US President Donald Trump.

Addressing reporters during his flight from Algeria to Cameroon, the pontiff emphasized the need for dialogue and mutual respect, stating, "Although we have different beliefs, we have different ways of worshipping, we have different ways of living, we can live together in peace."

President Trump had previously attacked Leo and was joined in criticism by US Vice President JD Vance, who advised the Pope to be cautious in discussing theology and conflict. Pope Leo indicated he would continue to speak against the US-Israeli war with Iran, regardless of political comments.

Pope Leo arrived in Yaounde, Cameroon, for the second leg of his 10-day Africa tour, which will also include Angola and Equatorial Guinea. He is scheduled to meet with President Paul Biya and address national leaders, with a large public Mass planned in Douala.
